The Kinect Accelerator is a Microsoft Accelerator powered by TechStars, leveraging the successful TechStars model and bringing a talented team to run this accelerator for Microsoft. Kinect is being used in creative new ways from applications in healthcare, education, the arts and more. We will be combining the ingenuity of these eleven startups, the best of the Kinect technology, other Microsoft technologies and the mentor driven TechStars approach to foster a new generation of businesses.

June 2010 - December 2012INHS Awarded $15.7 Million to Lead Collaborative Health IT "Beacon Community" The Beacon Community of the Inland Northwest (BCIN) enables meaningful use of health IT across 14 counties in eastern Washington and northern Idaho with a focus on prevention and improved management of diabetes. Led by INHS, the Beacon Community of the Inland Northwest (BCIN) is one of 15 communities across the country selected by the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services to serve as pilot communities for eventual wide-scale use of health information technology. Funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, the agreement will allow the BCIN to focus on increased care coordination for patients with diabetes in rural areas and extend the existing INHS health information exchange through collaboration to provide a higher level of connectivity throughout the region

The Medicine X initiative is designed to explore the potential of social media and information technology to advance the practice of medicine, improve health, and empower patients to be active participants in their own care. AHIC Successor (name changed to NeHC) - Governance Planning Committee April 2008 - June 2008 ( 3 months) Developed organizational structure, board configuration and roles and responsibilities for new national non-profit responsible for nation-wide health information technology standards.
